渋沢栄一翁が肖像となった新しい一万円札。

その若番号（札の記号番号に、Aと0、またはそれに近いものが使われているもの）の展示が深谷市役所で始まりました。

7月3日、小島市長が日銀に出向いて受け取ってきたのは、AA000006AA番。

ご本人はもっと小さい数字がほしかったようで、少し悔しそうでしたが、それでも6番。

このお披露目式以外に、前夜からのカウントダウンや、市役所駐車場でのビアフェスも開催され、多くの人でにぎわいました。

ところで、皆さんはもう新紙幣を手にしましたか？

私は、新千円札は何かのおつりでもらいましたが、ほかはまだです。

いつ、渋沢栄一翁のお札が自分のところへめぐりくるのか、楽しみにしています。

Finaly, the new one-thousand-yen bill with the figure of Fukaya-born Old Man Shibusawa Eiichi has been issued.

On the 3^{rd of} July, Mayor Kojima visited the Bank of Japan to receive one of those initially printed bills and got No. AA000006AA, which means the sixth. It looked like he wanted earlier one, but it’s rare enough anyway and got displayed in the showcase set in the entrance hall of the city hall. The unveiling ceremony and “Beer Fes” took place with a lot of visitors in the evening following the countdown event at the previous night.

Now, at the beginning of August, I haven’t gotten the new one-thousand-yen bill yet. I’m looking forward to the moment it finds me.
