　深谷市出身の村岡桃佳さんが、パラリンピック日本選手団の主将を務めたうえ、スキー種目で金メダル３つ、銀メダル１つを獲得する大活躍でした。
　おめでとうございます！

　彼女が最初に金をとった滑降では、一番速いところで時速100km出るとのこと。
　私は学生時代に八方尾根の大会で滑降競技に出ましたが、最後の直線でスピードにビビッて転倒。
　その時で70kmでした。

　村岡さんは座っていて目線が低いぶん、もっと怖いはず。 そのうえ上半身の力だけでスキー板を操るのですから、たいへんな精神力と技術がいります。

　下の写真は７年前の私ですが、フォームはまずまず。 でも速くない。
　もし同じコースを滑ったら、とのくらいの差がつくのでしょう。

Fukaya-born MURAOKA Momoka-san won three gold medals and a silver medal in 2022 Beijing Paralympic chair ski races as well as captaining the Japan team.

She won the first gold in the downhill race, in which the maximum speed was reportedly more than 100km. When I participated in a downhill race held at Happou One as a student, I fell down in the last strait part. It was thrilling enough, but the speed was 70km.

For those skiers who sit on the gear with eyes leveling lower, the speed gives more fear. Moreover, she only can use her upper body. Her mental and technical strength are just amazing.

The skier in the photo is me, seven years ago. The form doesn’t look so bad, but you will see it’s not fast. I wonder how much lead she will take if we try the same course.
