    ２月６日に行われた深谷シティハーフマラソン。

　私はボランティアとして参加しました。

　コース沿道に立ち、脇道から入ろうとする車を止める係です。

　場所は、中央道「とんとん市場」の近く。

　仕事の関係で急ぎの方もいて、対応に気を使います。

　スタートまでまだ時間があるので大丈夫、と甘めの対処をしたら、警察の方に注意されてしまいました。

　それでもなんとか無事につとめることができました。

　私はマラソンを走る側にまわることもあります。

    今回は、関わる多くの人たちの尽力と協力があってこそ開催ができることを、再認識しました。

I participated in the Fukaya City Half Marathon as a volunteer. My role was to stop cars from getting in the course, standing on the Central Street near Tonton Market.  

It was not an easy work because you should be attentive to those people in hurry to be in time for their job or appointment.  When I generously allowed a car to go across the road thinking that there was enough time till the next start, I got a warning from a policeman on the traffic security.  But, somehow, I acted the part to the end.  

I have experiences of running in some races. This time, I reacknowledged that those events are organized in cooperation with many people concerned.
